What is grading?

Grading cards is  a good way to preserve the condition, enhance your value and establish authenticity. You can declare any TCG, sports and non-sport cards. Beckett will grade you cards in according to its condition. You will receive a final grade with 4 subgrades on each card: Centering, Corners, Edges and Surface.

The scale goes like this: Black Label 10 Pristine, 10 Pristine, 9.5 Gem Mint, 9 Mint, 9 Near Mint, 7 Near Mint, 6 Excellent Mint, 5 Excellent, 4 Very Good, 3 Very Good, 2 Good, 1 Poor.

What do I need to do?
  1. Declare as many cards you want on for submission and chose the value of the card you want to declare by clicking register. Currently you can only do 9 at a time, but you can add 9 more after if needed. Add your card information, complete as many fields as possible, for example:

      3. Card name: Pikachu ex
      4. Card set: Surging Sparks
      5. Card year: 2024
      6. Card language: English
      7. Additional Remarks: none
  2. Once you have checkout this, prepare your cards to deliver them in the store.
    1. Put your Card into a Sleeve
    2. Put your Sleeved Card into a Semi-Rigid Card holder
    3. Put your Semi-Rigid cards holder into a Ziplock Bag
    4. Write your order number and name onto the Ziplock Bag
  3. Bring your card into the store before the deadline
    1. We will check if your cards are properly marked and if needed help you with packaging
What will happen after the deadline?
  1. We will ship the cards towards Beckett
  2. We will update this page with current information and update expected delivery
  3. Once grading has completed, Becket will send the cards back to nerdgeek
  4. We will inform the persons through email they can pick-up their card in our store.
What is included in the price?

There are no hidden costs or additional costs after the submission as they are being graded in the European Union. This is what the price contains:

  1. Shipping costs towards Beckett
  2. Grading from Beckett
  3. Beckett insurance of Declared Value
  4. Return shipping from Beckett to nerdgeek
  5. Shipping materials
How long does it take?

Currently the only option is the cheapest, but slowest method. It can take more than 45+ days to get the cards, realistically it will be more towards 100 days from shipment to Beckett until returned to nerdgeek.
